AtMyGate

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
— James 1:27

AtMyGate Program was established in 2007 for the purpose of aiding orphans in Africa.  It's name is attributed to the parable in Luke 16:19-22, regarding the beggar, Lazarus.  It became a partnership between Norfolk Church of Christ (NCOC) and Use Offot church of Christ in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.  NCOC has been sending funds to the UseOffot congregation since 2007.  The funds are used in various ways to assist orphans and widows in that area.

The Use Offot church has established an AtMyGate committee which oversees the use and disbursement of the funds using several avenues to offer assistance such as: providing aid to an area orphanage; paying medical bills; paying educational tuition for orphans; awarding apprenticeship/training programs to several young adults who have been orphaned or widowed in their life; setting up trainees in business through the use of micro loans; offering guidance and mentorship for these orphaned, young adults.  All of this work is carried out giving glory to God and His son, Jesus Christ
